Trying to take a page from the Canadian Firearm Act are we?

Americans will scramble to find any excuse for mass shootings other than easy access to deadly weapons. They'll point to video games, violent movies, societal breakdown or just not enough Jesus. What they ignore is that most of the western world including Canada plays the same video games, watches the same movies, is increasingly less interested in the teachings of the pastors and priests while not having anywhere near the same frequency of mass shootings and other gun-related violence.

America has decided that the occasional slaughter of children in schools, shoppers in malls, concert goers, movie attendees, night club patrons, university students, etc. is the price they will happily pay to keep their assault rifles, high capacity magazines and concealed carry.

What a boneheaded comment. Are you even aware of what type of firearm was used in the oxford shooting?
- It was not an assault rifle.
- It did not have a high capacity magazine.
- The shooter did not have a concealed carry permit.

Very good post Joe and I 'am 100% in agreement with you.

It is of no surprise that the number of Christians is declining - it is expected - "at the end many will fall away" - it wouldn't surprise me that there will come a time when Christians will be persecuted for their faith as they have been and in some countries are now - all I can say is that there is a faith based on Jesus Christ and what He said - it provides you with a guide and purpose for living - and at the end promises eternal life in Paradise - if someone has something better - I'm listening

Read my post again. It is not specifically about the Oxford shooting but about America's gun culture, their attempts to pin the responsibility for random gun violence on broader societal issues and America's willingness to tolerate mass shootings as the price to pay for easy access to deadly weapons and the ability to carry them.
