If you got s tag 5 years ago, and unsuccessfully applied twice since then, you would get 2 points. The point totals in these examples are before you apply. Once you submit an application, you buy a point. So if you had a tag last year, you get a point this year.
im not sure if you lose all of your points once you get a tag. Say you’ve unsuccessfully applied for 20 years in wmu 47. This year, you decide to hunt wmu 16 where 5 points are needed for a bull tag. What happens to the remaining points? Would it be fair to keep them?
