You do not have to break any laws to be stopped legally. What if they asked you to blow into a breathalyzer, which they can do without cause, at any time, would that be better? Nothing to do with guns.

I have been called on twice in 50years of hunting. Once turkey hunting 5years ago. Person who owned bush didn't like the idea that we were hunting the field on the farmers side of the fence. Came out yelling at us and lots of obscenities. I asked him to calm down which he didn't. He finally said he was going to call the cops. I said please do and they walked away. We stayed for 40 minutes waiting, then walked back to truck and waited longer. Finally 2 women walk up to us, 1 the wife of the loud mouth. I asked where are the cops. She said she called the police and told them the truth that we were hunting farmers field. Cop asked if we threatened them or pointed guns at their property, she said NO. Cop on phone said you have a nice day and hung up. Imagine how it would have gone if she had lied. Second time, woman calls about us hunting early season tells the CO's we are shooting at her house and are shooting geese. Well yes we were shooting geese, the house as almost a mile away. CO shows up, but we have already got our limit and left. CO is talking to the farmer, tells him he is going to go look for evidence of us doing something wrong and asks where we went and who we were. Farmer tells CO that if he is going to go back in the field, he had to walk as didn't want him to drive in his filed. Farmer told him that he had no idea who we were and didn't know where we went. Farmer had had a run in of some sort with the CO's around the area. Of course he know us and what coffee shop we went too. The woman embellished her story to get the CO to come out. We were completely legal and had full permission. The woman was well know in the area for embellishing things to get the cops to come out to the farmer as well. So 2 different calls with 1 honest caller and the other not so. You can never tell what the caller has said to the LEO, one way or the other.
I know his experience was in the past. Now...... They do not need any reason to stop you and ask you to blow into a breathalyzer. They can even come to your house and make you blow, even when your not driving. So now a cop is always legally able to stop you, even if you have done absolutely nothing wrong. He just has to make you blow. Line 052 ,What did you do to that cop to piss him off and make him want to 'harass' you? Sounds personnel.
Why assume he did something. Just like every profession there are bad apples. Some small % of cops are incompetent a-holes. Same as teachers, doctors, engineers lawyers etc.
Every post Line052 has ever made has been respectfully done even when passionately advocating for his rights.
Or maybe that cop once (or twice) caught someone coming out of those woods with unauthorized firearms, and repeatedly tries to get the same 'collar'. Maybe he is just doing his job to the best of his ability, unless we can read his mind we really don't know. But being stopped once a year does not seem like 'harassment' to me.
This is a mind numbing thread.
Every Police Constable in Canada swears an oath when they're appointed to enforce the law "...without fear, favor or malice aforethought..." If you feel you've been mistreated or are being deliberately targeted, you need to accurately outline your complaint,in writing,to your lawyer,to the officer, his immediate commander, the district commander, your MPP and The Attorney General's office. If your account is credible ( no doubt it is),believe me,shyte rolls downhill. The Constable in question will be called to account. Charges under The Police Services Act.at the very least, discreditable conduct, can have far-reaching consequences for that officer's career.
My lawyer is ready for that, and I will comply + videotape.
