Where did you get the idea I had a poor attitude about leashes...I own a whack of them hanging by the back door, even have a couple dog houses with chain tethers..I never said anything against the use of them when required or legally mandatory. I just don't have to use them very often so I don't.Quote:

Your neighbors most likely have the same poor attitude as you. Let your dogs run off a leash, meaning at large. Like the CO says got to catch the dogs in action. Your mutts just haven't been caught yet.
CL - your mixing two things together here - a) off leash and b) at large. Although in one post, you did it straight - that they are different. Off leash - well that's pretty simple. At large - off leash, off the owners property and not under control of the owner. Two different things. There are many, many farms with farm dogs that are not leashed. If they were, off what use would they be at chasing off unwanted predators. Unleashed farm dogs are pretty common in farming areas and most do not have a problem with it. A farm dog that is running off to chase deer or wander other neighbours properties isn't much use as a farm dog.Quote:
