I've been lucky enough to be able to capture the progressive growth of a rack on a young buck this year over about 50 days :

i was wanting to do this this year but the end of turkey season the bugs chased me out the woods and i had no motivation to go back through there to leave my cameras up haha.

I know what your saying about I’m scared scent but I do not believe it kills a area. I’ve had deer totally scared off by equipment and stomp and fled or even walking into a area and they snorted and took off like stink they where back in area less than couple hours I use to have pictures of deer tracks in a pay loader bucket. I find that mass can be deceiving when bucks are in velvet. IMO, more reliable indicators of the size of the rack are the spread and tine length. Looks like a nice buck though.

Yes so realisticly you are only catching them when they come to feed in the field, which is usually at dusk and then again at dawn. This does not mean they are sleeping all day though. They can very well be on the other side of their home range during those hours or traveling in the deep brush.Quote:

I would say that "Hunter Pressure' causes them to be nocturnal is a myth...once the Rut is on is they will move regardless. But having watched this bush for over 20 yrs, I don't know if it's our large coyote population or they stay in the bush during the hot days but I rarely see Bucks ( Does are different) in the daytime year-round on trail cams and I have in lots of different areas.Quote:
