Sure its easier to just say the deer is nocturnal and call it a day but thats not the case. Its actually one of the bigger myths out there.

I would say that "Hunter Pressure' causes them to be nocturnal is a myth...once the Rut is on is they will move regardless. But having watched this bush for over 20 yrs, I don't know if it's our large coyote population or they stay in the bush during the hot days but I rarely see Bucks ( Does are different) in the daytime year-round on trail cams and I have in lots of different areas.

Do you have any water sources near by? They could very well be staying close to the water during the day as well

Water water everywhere....I have 5 Artisien wells on the property that boil up water year round as well as a creek running parallel to the back frontage.

Lots of swampy areas...I have to wear rubber wellies to access a few stands HaHa..

That is from a cam I have about 10yds in front of one of my stands...unfortunately I rarely see these guys come fall.
