I walked into a deer walking to my stand. Nice sized doe. Nothing as of yet. Only heard a couple shots as of right now.
On another note my buck bomb got stuck on the spraying position and got all over me LOL Good luck to all!!!

I am on the crippled list this year but nephew and buddy got an 8 pt and spike at my camp in the first 5 minutes.

Got my first doe today. Had a yearling with it but it looked old enough to go on its own. After I shot it and was standing on the blood trail waiting for my dad to come with the atv another doe popped out on the other side as well. Took a while to gut it and drag out of the bush.

Never saw a deer yesterday. Could be because I was busy flinging lead at a couple of coyotes. Lots of shooting around me. Even a couple shots from eager guy 20 minutes early in the distance. Crappy weather this morning, snow and rain but I did see 2 does and 2 bucks.

I went in before first light to where I saw the trio last night,stayed until lunch. It was very very quiet,kind of eerie actually. Nothing was moving,no shots fired anywhere. I'm heading back out in an hour with the young lad and staying until dark.

I just got home about an hour ago. We almost were washed out with a sudden rainstorm that poured buckets for an hour and then cleared out. Needless to say,we saw nothing. I'm pretty sure the Deer were driven into the swamps. There was quite a few hunters walking the bush until it started to rain. Back at it tomorrow PM. It'll likely take that long for everything to dry out. LOL
Seen doe and fawn tonight that bedded down in front of me for an hour in the middle of the field. Never seen that before. We had 2 blizzards go threw that you couldn't see for a few moments, then sun would come out. Only heard 1 shot this morning.
Decided to put a card in my cam to see if anything is passing during the night and I only got 1 cyote passing by. Weird thing is there were fresh deer tracks close by too. Might go sit in my other spot for a hour or so then head to my main spot for the rest of the night. Switch it up a little maybe.
My fathers cousin took a buck this morning I believe. Haven't seen pictures not sure how big he is.

LMAO - the same here...usually the first hour of opener you would hear a shot every 5min, that was 10yrs ago...times changed-weather, older hunters, deer patterns etc
