That is kind of a strange thing, in the west we have taken into our banking systems and real estate systems billions of dollars which were stolen from the Russian people through Putin and his Oligarch's and that money comes from Russia which basically is still a communist country pretending to be democratic. We have also taken in billion's from China another Communist country using the democratic model
where their elite also steal billions from its own citizens by paying them slave wages, but many are working for western companies.
So all this stolen/laundered money flows into our real estate market's in the west. So who really are the bad guys, communists/capitalists.
So in relation to the NDP liberal merger, basically their combined votes represent the majority of the country, so where is the big problem.
Universal pharma and dental for some is probably a net benefit for the whole country. Poor people with bad dental health end's up costing you bigger money in hospital bills, sorting out big pharma is also not a bad thing. IMHO
Well it comes as no surprise at all. All one has to do is look at the pair that made the deal and look at their horrendous track records. It's just another detrimental blunder to this once great country. What ever happened to working hard and looking after yourself and your own. This country has turned into nothing more than a nanny state with government overreach and people running to the government looking for their next free hand out and looking for the government to solve their problems. Don't worry though folks father Truedope will look after us all money is free as he'll just print more and not to forget budgets balance themselves sunny days. POOR CANADA!
Well,a majority of voters wanted rid of Justin Trudeau, but, our ridiculous electoral system guaranteed that wouldn't happen. Now,technically,he's been replaced by the NDP kingmaker,Jagmeet Singh. We're out of the frying pan and into the fire. God help Canada, now.
I can't wait to see how this universal care going to get funded.
I bet it will go under the slogans of "tax the rich", so the woke crowd can cheer them on.
But since they are not able to collect anything from the actual rich, they will yet again ride on the backs of middle class workers making their lives miserable and by ever increasing debt by printing more money.

This won't end poverty . Just creat more debt and bring us closer the universal basic income.
Are they ready to bring out the food stamps next year that could be a real possibility things are about to explode in pricing oh its coming wait and see. People think things are bad now wait and see what happens when we have to ration the food lol. Better yet who will be able to afford the food next year. .
More government over priced work we all know they will pay more the services they always do . When does the government ever get a good deal they don't they pay more for what ever they do and all the services they provide. Yeah big pharma will see an increase in profits. They always do when the government pays for it .

When there is a shortage no more than 1 pepper per family at an outrageous price lol.
No bulk shopping we will be limited to what we can get.
Lots of different factors going to play in the increases and shortages. Less fertilizer less crops at a higher price to get those crops grain shortages and higher prices will put up the price of meat milk and eggs . Fuel prices ect .
These Canada experts even think more wars could break out in some parts that will be stuck very hard . But hey China stock pilled up the grains and have an 18 month supply lol.

its not like ppl fought in wars to get us the freedom of choice and ability to vote ... lol
Just a reminder: https://www.oodmag.com/community/sho...&p=583#post583
So the Liberals garnered 32.6%, the NDP 17.8% of the vote in the last election. Correct the math if I’m wrong, but that’s 50.4% of the vote. Reaching an understanding that brings stability to government for the coming 3 years sends a messages that Canada is a solid investment into the future. It allows for budgeting to help build Canada. The kind of Canada that 50.4% of those who voted would like their country to be. Perhaps the leading conservative candidate and the interim leader could bring solutions to the the table instead of the divisive rhetoric that continues to keep them out of government? Maybe present a vision of what their Canada should look like? Currently what they have to offer doesn’t appeal to half of those who voted.
Seriously, when the "budget will balance itself" and the other apron riding clown get together to further increase debt spending, what kind of budget do you think it will be, nothing more than what's happening now. Push the debt out further for great grandchildren to suffer and pay.
People are going to get a lot poorer. Taxes are going up and up and up. Trudeau and NDP trying very very hard to make Middle class people poor. Since he was elected we have seen about a 12% tax increase.
You get an "A" for math, but that's it. Blindly assuming that all Liberals support the NDP, and vice versa, shows how numbers are easily manipulated. You can not assume, because of a person's political leaning, that they will support all parties under that umbrella. There are lots of Liberals that would never endorse the NDP, and, vice versa.
I’m kinda happy with this but now CPC have to come up with a plan. Not just not the way we be doing it
Now disappointed with BOC we should be at 1% int right now with another .5 next session
You are assuming "they" get their act in gear by then and actually have a leader, ok they will have a leader but it might not still be the leader they have to still elect in fact they may go through several leaders by that date if you go by their track record.
Actually did 25% in the end for 2021. My house, well I have to live some place. My house isn't big, built in 1973 1200 sq ft + basement.
Where do you draw the line? when I moved to Ontario in 1991 43 - 47% of your paycheck went to some level of Government we are now around 53-57%. Most likely my kids when they are my age will be paying approx 63 - 67% my grand-kids 73-77%.
Should we just instead have the government take all 100%?
Greedy people will freely sell their childrens future off for some free dental care today.
Unbelievable.
Someday people will realize that in fact budgets don’t balance themselves but it will be far too late and Trudeau will be living even higher on the hog than he is now
Well that's great news for MPACT. Let's not leave out any small details like inflation, don't worry though even you will own nothing and be happy.
I would've thought Jagsmeet would of learned something about his partner in crime when he invoked and rescinded the Emergencies act.
The issue isn't so much that the Liberals have created what amounts to a coalition Govt with the NDP....it's that the CPC can't seem to put forward a decent enough candidate, that can get enough traction to not shoot themselves in the face. Or, when election time comes, many right leaning voters get stupid and waste their vote on a party candidate that, while having a decent enough platform, stand absolutely zero chance of forming a government. (PPC anyone?).
If Conservative voters could genuinely learn to be more strategic in their vote, it would result in greater success....instead we look at the Government from the opposition side of the house, and cry foul because someone was more strategic than us, and was able to actually find a common ground.
Incidentally, coalition governments are quite common.
I respectfully suggest that The OFAH, and members on here decide early on strategy prior to the next election, and get everyone on the same page, or we'll be looking at a similar scenario.
It will be a horrible system like it is now and it will cost so much that we will have to cut it in no time.
I am all for it but the problem is the people who are allowed to give out the money. The hospitals are expanding like crazy and costing a ton more money with less and less going to support the actual patients, don't think for one second that this will not be the case with dental as well.
People who live life on credit cards eventually get bailed out by the rest of us. Who’s going to bail out Canada ? Our allies are in worse shape than us
This is not the first time something like this has happened. In 1985, Bob Rae, then Ontario NDP Leader, and Liberal Leader David Peterson reached an "accord" that defeated the PC government of Frank Miller in return for certain legislative commitments. It is also not in the truest sense a "coalition government" as there are no NDP MPs being appointed to Cabinet.
If there is any good news it is that 3 years of stability just might allow the CPC to get its act together.
Agreed, but on the other hand, after three more years of corruption and Trudeau, who in their right mind would want to inherit the mess !!
Greedy people? The dental plan idea is only for families who take in less that $90 000 a year.
My family was very poor. No one got to go to the dentist. I got to go to the dentist for the first time when I was 21 years old (first real job). Unless one has been been poor they don't understand not being able to pay for dental care ,nor not being able to pay for drugs prescribed by your Dr.
I’m all for helping out the truly poor. 90k isn’t that limit in my mind. Although I’ll qualify and won’t have to pay for my dental and prescriptions anymore.
In theory I should be happy, but in reality I don’t think I should get that on the backs of the future generations
I don’t think anything should be free. It just devalues it and leads to more corruption. There should always be a fee. Heavily subsidized for those who really need it be never $0
Perhaps if we stopped lining the government’s pockets most of us could afford the basics and be able to help those truly in need
I'm so happy I risked my life fighting for this country
what an absolute joke we have become.
get yourself familiar with who Klaus Schwab is, because he's the one leading this once great country. I didn't see him on the election ballet last fall did anyone else??????
Well my cabin is your home size and I pay taxes on it and land, I pay taxes on my city home, like you I pay taxes on income and as an added bonus to keep you in the lifestyle you have become accustomed to I pay taxes on a British pension that the Canadian government did not even allow me a penny in credit contributions. LOL
You mean like half the cabinet he has Penetrated lol.
They have their own unique culture that they want the world to have . It's so great they needed to take a pandemic as an opportunity to reshape the globe.
I think if it were for the better you wouldn't need to advantage of a deadly virus as an "opportunity".
So we will adapt to the "new world order " or " the great reset " or we resist but they are pushing the "opportunity". Knowing it's going to hurt alot of people. Because they learned we can just adapt ." We are now just hackable animals "
Even Biden just said the other day they need to protect the new world order.
Yet that's just conspiracy so I put my hat back on lol.

Yeah I'm sure billions went into the rental market. Heard the elite were particularly the problem paying more for a sure sale . The one Canadian vowed to spend a billion alone all across Canada.
The prices will get readjusted soon enough add the war into a higher inflation that was unexpected and its really going to mess with many.

We are all in this together and we are all paying taxes, some more some less. There is a terrible amount of wasted money in government generally and this has to be addressed by who ever is in power.
"According to one 2017 estimate, every nine minutes, someone arrives at an ER in Ontario with a dental complaint, costing taxpayers $31 million annually."

So for continuity of discussion please keep this on topic
Wouldn’t it be something if all the parties worked together to better Canada. A bit of give and take, maybe some cooperation, a dash of compromise, a little more accountability and less excuses, then what would we have? Heck, I’m sure left and right could find middle ground if they cared to try. But it’s a lot easier to slander each other and claim solely to have the “best” direction forward. The idea of party lines is in itself a matter of division. Shouldn’t we be doing a whole lot more working together?
One good turn deserves another brother. That would be wonderful except it isn't happening, so now basically one part has made itself completely redundant and the other parties are getting on with business for the World Economic Forum which nobody voted for. There you go fixed it for ya. No need to thank me, more then willing to help a forum member out.
Hard to accomplish this when the PM calls 5.75 million Canadians Nazis.
I remember back when Jack Layton was running, he would have been the best person as a leader, but his parties platform was not. A fiscally conservative government with Jack Layton as leader would have been something I could have backed, he would talk to anyone, our current PM walks out of the room when anyone asks him a question he does not like.
Checks and balances usually ensure that no one person or department has absolute control over decisions, clearly define the assigned duties, and force cooperation in completing tasks. The term is most commonly used in the context of government but also refers to limiting power in businesses and organizations.
We need an open transparent government and when things get investigated they shouldn't be able to just black out the paperwork.
Not just a government that will take advantage of you and use a pandemic as an opportunity to further fit their agenda. They should at least be honest to what it will cost to achieve.

The Parliamentary multi-party system with one party as an official opposition guarantees a system of checks and balances which is very important to prevent the ruling party from becoming a bona fide dictatorship with horrendous results for civil rights, liberty and freedom.
My of my how times change, I remember defending Jack tooth and nail on here where he was being insulted (even after his death) by members calling him Taliban Jack, when he told the world they would have to negotiate with the Taliban for peace.
In relation to the current PM I watched him using his teacher patience with the Conservative children in Parliament a few days ago on question period on the accord between the Liberals and NDP.
The Speaker of the House was on his feet at least 12 times chastising the Conservatives for their unruly and unparliamentary behaviour.
Maybe the Conservatives should note that Canadians do WATCH this going on. That is why they find themselves in the darkness of opposition and will continue to be there for the next 3 years. In the mean time the Liberals will continue with the NDP to made Canada the number one destination for people the World over. 112% of jobs recovered since the pandemic, GDP growth up 4.6% in 2021, the good news just keeps on getting better.
Please tell me what other Country in the World would allow its citizens to block's its Capital buildings, hold citizens hostage, block its vital trade borders, imperil jobs of its own citizens and cost tens on millions of dollars in policing and trade OVER A PERIOD OF A MONTH.
With the said organisers of this blockage being petty criminals and chancers?
That's easy to answer, people who come from these countries.

Thanx Trimmer for this video .
WOW It is a clear picture and testimony of the new-modern,and Oh, so inclusive trend of "our" Oh ,so independent media.
They IMMEDIATELLY stick Anti COVID terminology -link on those ,who dare to speak up(and as a side treat-belittle them being "fringe" individuals as well).
Wondering why they left the Romanian PM out -and focused on these two?
He said no less then these 2 did say.
Maybe he is not from a "fringe"party- maybe he did NOT have ever anything to do with Covid...so he can not be thrown under the bus?
Or -maybe just because he is SocDem-so he is kind of an "ally"for the left?
Just so the unaware public KNOWS right away-Do NOT listen to what is being said-just WATCH ,who said it.
Why pluralism-democracy-freedom of speech and communists come to my mind?
We should pay attention to the prairie provinces a bit more. This ndp-liberal alliance might alienate them even further and radicalize some. They are right leaning after all. It’s not necessarily good for ALL Canada.
Good point Jason Kenney is afraid the lunatics' are taking over the asylum in Alberta.
