Ground is still covered with snow here - Ottawa. Lakes still covered. Hard to think about open water fishing now. I don't usually get mine out until the long weekend in May. Pike and pickeral are closed until then and bass doesn't open until end of June. Very nice boat though. I have a 20 year old legend 175 with a 25hp.
I'm out of storage, fully rigged and software updates don on the graphs. will be on the Detroit River April 7-10
If I had the time I could still go ice fishing on most of the small lakes around here

They were still ice fishing yesterday couple brave souls lol.

I have never been but my brothers have been there on the opener 20 years back and could not keep them off the line. Is the fishing still as good for them now or has it gone away like the smelt?Quote:

Unfortunately for us up near Sudbury it will be quite a while before the lakes open up and the snow is gone.. But getting excited to pick up my first boat and get everything installed in it! 2 weeks to go!

Unfortunately I didnt go brand new.. Found a used 05 Legend Xcalibur 18ft with 90HP merc. Great price but had water log issues as outlined in another post in the forum..Quote:
