Got energetic, finished some antler plaques
Well almost. Now they are just awaiting the lacquer to dry on the plaques. Lots of work went into a couple of them. Top center scores out at 145 3/8" . Middle right was taken by a sharp shooting young lady who managed to plant a 180grns of lead squarely between the antlers. I was about five hours piecing the bits back together to make sure it was exactly as it was before it hit the ground. Bottom left was my guy from this year. The rest belong to family members. A few have been waiting for a couple years.
One of the sets is a matching set of cast antlers. Can you tell which one?
Always had a struggle with dried blood on the antlers. I ran out of my usual acid mix that I hated using anyway. If you were not careful you could actually whiten the antler. I found out CLR works better than anything I have ever tried. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/04/09/3a2ezeza.jpg
