Just a heads up. If you're out fishing on Scugog, and you feel like lunch. Do not go into the G restaurant. 2 cheeseburgers/fries and a cerveza each, was 52.50 plus tip for lunch. Pack a ham sandwich. I couldn't believe it. Tight lines.

What no McDonald in Port Perry? I'm thinking its franchise time.
Jesus that's a crazy
Everyone knows that boaters can afford it.
Twenty years ago Whitby built a new launch ramp. It sat for a year with barricades on it until a booth for the attendants was built. When I asked the town why we needed attendants it was explained that someone had to collect the money. The money was going to be used to pay the attendants .......
With $52 I can go to a Wegman's market and get 10 already cooked rotisserie chickens -
Geez, that's a little extreme for a couple of burgers, fries and drink. However if people are willing to pay, it might not be a bad idea for a business. I have noticed a number of restaurants slowly increasing their prices to $15 -$18 for a burger combo, which is crazy.
That's what I pay at the strip bar LOL. Are you not telling us something.
After looking at that menu I would have walked out.
Face it, people are getting lazier all the time and are willing to pay crazy prices for the convenience of having someone else prepare their food. I very seldom eat out any more with the ridiculous prices out there at restaurants and even more so what chip wagons want for poutine and other combos. I had heard some good reports about the poutine at a local chip truck so I decided to try it last Sunday. Ya it was good, but the small size at $5 was for a 10 oz container. Needless to say I was still plenty hungry after finishing that small portion. Specially seeing as for the most part the food I eat at home is way better. Now for sure there are some that provide quality food with good fresh meat but I'll be damned if I'm going to pay $7 or more for a burger or even $5 or more for a ready made salad out of the grocery store.
Cheers
Where is the G restaurant? Is that the full name? Don't want to go there by accident!
Didn't look at the menu, just ordered 2 cheeseburgers and 2 Cervezas . I never dreamt what I was getting!! I can't tell you the full name of the restaurant, but it's attached to a marina and trailerpark.
If your out on rice lake rhinos is open again in bewdley and has a great doc. Awesome wings and good prices
Hard to compare places/service/prices but a friend and myself stopped for lunch in Bobcaygeon while riding motorcycles. Two huge 8 oz bacon cheeseburgers, with more fries than we could eat and coleslaw, two waters, two Sprite/7 Ups and coffee with tip was 35 with tip.
Service was great and a nice restaurant setting.
I was a little surprised actually, I believe the 8 oz restaurant made Bacon Cheeseburger, coleslaw and fries were $10 for a set down meal in a decent restaurant.
Although I spoke to a buddy yesterday that said he ordered fish there recently(daily market price for halibut)and it was expensive he thought, so........
