Lunch on Scugog
Just a heads up. If you're out fishing on Scugog, and you feel like lunch. Do not go into the G restaurant. 2 cheeseburgers/fries and a cerveza each, was 52.50 plus tip for lunch. Pack a ham sandwich. I couldn't believe it. Tight lines.

HAH! They gotcha. That's one of the most over-priced joints in Port. We take coolers with sandwiches and pops or hit Timmie's.

Everyone knows that boaters can afford it.
Twenty years ago Whitby built a new launch ramp. It sat for a year with barricades on it until a booth for the attendants was built. When I asked the town why we needed attendants it was explained that someone had to collect the money. The money was going to be used to pay the attendants .......

With $52 I can go to a Wegman's market and get 10 already cooked rotisserie chickens -

One of the things I really enjoy about going to the in-laws (western NY) is hitting their local eateries. The food is excellent there's lots of it and I've yet to get hosed by the price.

Geez, that's a little extreme for a couple of burgers, fries and drink. However if people are willing to pay, it might not be a bad idea for a business. I have noticed a number of restaurants slowly increasing their prices to $15 -$18 for a burger combo, which is crazy.
