Posted Spots - what a ...
Went to duck hunting today and while getting to the spot we noticed that the spot we planned to place our john boat with blinds was "posted" by another hunter.... so we moved aside to less desirable place, put out decoys and started hunting... to our surprise the hunter who posted the spot did not show up!!! I think it is a huge disrespect... I am pretty sure many on the forum will not agree with me but I am ignoring posted spots from now on... I will also take a picture of the sign next week and place it on this forum so people might recognize this disrespectful hunter or maybe he will recognize himself here....

Yep. It's true. MNR had a weighting system that they use before lands are re-classified or rezoned. A duck blind makes it more difficult for developers.
Years ago we had a group of developers trying to develop around a marsh in Innisfil. They were trying to lobby the township to prevent hunting within the area because they could not get permits. The reason they could not get permits was in part thanks to the duck blind on this marsh. It added points to the mnr's assesment and thus kept the developers at bay.
