Why is that bad news... 1 trillion dollars is nothing nowadays. We have to trust our government as they know what's best for us. The average Canadian should not get involved with government run issues.
We should work hard to make sure they get all the money they need to reach their goal. So no more complaining about user fees or increase taxes, let them do their job, lets stop getting in their way.
They work for us.

What happens in Canada over the next four years will depend on what Trudeau's policies are, particularly in the energy sector, and very little on what Trump does in the US. What the world doesn't know is what Trump is going to do. He's a firebrand and loose Canon, but some somewhat safe assumptions can be made. Thus far all signs are pointing to protectionism. It's started with the automotive industry (huge and fairly "critical" for Ontario). The damage they (Wynne, Motley, JT) can do while painful is somewhat limited.

Who knows. At a guess over the next 2-5 years the demand will explode. Perhaps more than it already has the past 10 years.
Prior to 2020 there were large and worrisome problems as an older population headed into their golden years with nowhere near enough. Don’t know about anyone else but I’m guessing those numbers have likewise just exploded.
I’m guessing, the need for more social services. Whether LTCs, or social assistance or A to Z will be right behind them...........
