Would there be any interest in having a womens hunter category on the forum? I'm not sure if this is a good idea or not, but perhaps it would be of benefit to have to get more female hunters more involved and hopefully connect with each other and become more confident and inspired.
Just a thought
The present situation here in Ontario from my experience is that women hunters are a bit of a sham. They have been encouraged to get a license to "game" the
tag system and allow the boyfriends/husbands to take more game on their tags.
I am not saying ALL the women involved do not hunt but I would say the majority do not hunt.
I suppose to test the veracity of this claim we could ask the MNR how many female hunters are checked afield each year?

Was out today and saw a couple of trucks parked at one of the access points so stopped to check with them and see how they made out.
Turned out to be 2 women doing search and rescue practice with their dogs.
Don't need a separate section just need to get them involved

I support anyone that wants to start hunting or fishing regardless of gender or age. Ducky, I think you and a few others may be interpreting things in a way that suits your option.
He never said anyone was carrying the wife's tags around. He said that the camp has 9 tags and seven hunters in camp. If wife and I are out camping/hunting and have two bear or deer tags between us there are two tags in camp. If one of us goes to town, there is still two tags in camp even when just one of us is there.

By the way I never said some women are not recruited for gaming the system, I know it's alive and well, just ask mike!!! The bottom line for me on this is that women generally have even more "time restraints" placed on them by society and hence they have very little time to get out into the field.The women I know who hunt dont need to be bubble wrapped with special sections on the forum,they just do their own thing already.
