He is correct the bells are not a natural sound. They are more likely to make bears( or any predator ) more curious then scared. Also trying to be quiet makes you sound like prey, while crunching leaves and snapping twigs or branches makes it sound like you don't care. If you don't care....in the bears mind there is a good reason.Quote:
