Had a gobbler roosted right behind my house last night, but the sound of hard rain on the roof helped me roll over and fall back to sleep this morning.......

Adding Articcat's second bird photos below, and updated leaderboard, with Deer Hunter, TurkeyWes, genec and CD94 all connecting - way to go guys!

Tom #2 down yesterday morning. I almost got him Saturday in the rain. Him and 7 jakes were soaking wet out in the field and I called 3 of the jakes into 10 yards but he stayed around 60.
Yesterday morning I was back in the same field and watched the same birds plus a second Tom and a few hens for hours. Eventually they ended up in a spot that allowed me to get behind cover and circle around them and stalk into 30 yards before popping over the fence and shooting the boss Tom. Sometimes when they just won’t come to you you have to go to them.
