Default West arm and west bay Nippising August walleye

We are at Shuswap on the Nippising for our 3rd year in a row and Memquisite lodge year before that. Always come 1st week of August and have not had much luck finding the walleye. We do catch a few drifting one of the no name islands along a weed bed in about 8-10 feet of water which Billy the guide put us on 4 years ago but other than that haven't had any other success and we've tried everywhere in the arm and west bay it seems. Anyone have any specific tips for August wallet in this area... like specific islands, are as of water, depths, lures (we've only caught on green jigs with worms) ?? Anything at all would be appreciated.

Start flatlining with suspending Rapalas. That'll let you cover more ground and I'd also dump the weedbeds in favor of rock shoals. 10 to 12 ft seems to be the area where the fish are hanging out even on the lakes that I fish.
Hot, calm days are always the poorest fishing for pickerel so give'r when the winds pick up and work the rocky shorelines. Witching hours are 1 hour before the sun goes down and lasts about 1/2 hour. Use either jigs/minnow or flatline and you'll do OK if there are fish in the area.
