There's a couple ways to look at this whole situation. On the one hand, you're one of the fortunate few to even have access to private land. Sure, its not private to just you anymore, but it is still better than having to work an area that has constant/heavy human activity. On the other hand, I do see your frustration regarding having to adjust your habits/tactics with others on the property now. But in a sense, that's no different than having to adjust to property owner's and/or the neighbouring property(ies) changing crops/clearing sections of bush, etc. At the end of the day, as long as the "new guys" are hunting within the law, don't bring/give access to all their friends, and you respect each other's gear I'm confident you'll work out a good arrangement.

Nosey...... you talk like you have been here on this site forever, but it has only been one month. Looks like you are trying to catch up to MP with his # of posts. Some of us have had very interesting discussions here for 10 years. Unless you agree with GW you will sometimes take a good natured beating. I only view it as entertainment which it is, I am old enough that if it is not fun I don't do it.....LOL.

I have sympathy for what happened, yes.
    but get over with it.
a lot of people have to hunt public land, because they cannot access any private land in their area (and if they do, they deal with trespassers or really poor habitat/population).
ever thought how your whining sounds to them? go and hunt public land, where more often than not, somebody (fellow hunter, atv, dog walker, etc.) messes up your hunt

My attitude towards you depends upon how you have treated me.

I don't quite get the mentality of these guys. You think they would have moved it when realizing my stand is right there!!!
Any thoughts ? starting to vent, sorry
Go to your farmer friend of 8 years, express to him you feel its unsafe to have so many hunting on a small parcel and ask him to withdraw his permission for the new guys. If you have a good relationship with the farmer and he values you there it should be a breeze.

So when did bow hunting become such a dangerous sport? Or is lying an acceptable way of justifying your own selfish interest? Heck the land owner may think if 2 guys hunting is dangerous than any hunters may be a problem. Kind of sad how some would actually shoot themselves in the foot (pardon the pun) than try to work with others to make the best of the situation. Guess its a commentary on the me me me society that we live in.

I think the 2 guys that moved in on a small property already being hunted are the president and vice president of that society. I have access to properties that I have soul permission for and properties I don't. There is nothing stopping the land owner from giving permission to others and no laws broken if he does. I personally wouldn't do it, there are enough properties out there to hunt if you take the time to search them out.

Ok, I'm sorry that some people have to hunt on crown land and I should be thankful for having what I have, I am, I'm not trying to sound mean, but that's irrelevant to what I'm saying , my point is that it is unethical to stick a blind 40yds away from someone's treestand, also unethical to come prancing through there to set up a treestand and a blind knowing full well that someone is in there hunting at the time. I don't really like it when someone rubs it in your face about other properties and the deer they encounter there, but yet feel it need to move in and screw with someone else's hunting area when they have other locations to hunt.
I know that it may sound to some that I'm whining, but it's disrespectful and yes unethical. I've been hunting a long time, these are things that you just don't do.

Who says anyone is lying,to many hunters in a small parcel could well be a safety issue.Who,s self interest are we talking here the OP,s or the new hunters coming into a spot already used for 8 years? Nobody is shooting themselves in the foot, either it works out and the newcomers are no longer welcome or the OP might want to move on.Why should the OP need to work out a solution to a problem he did not make.Yes it is a sad commentary that two selfish hunters who already have spots to hunt need to grab some more.IMHO
