To put game in the bag you need as many options as possible then choose the best possibility given the current conditions. If I work to secure as many properties as possible why should I penalize myself for the guy that didn't put in the same effort to maximize his options? Being a gentleman goes both ways. If the landowner gives permission then its befalls everyone to come to a cooperative agreement to use the property. If that offends you than you must move on too a property owner that gives you sole access.
Well put. I had a similar situation a few years back. A property owner actually asked me if I minded if he let a few young, new hunters onto the property to hunt. My response was it is your property, if you want to allow access to them, I really don't have a say. I did want to get their contact info so we wouldn't be tripping over each other. I managed to help them get a deer their first year hunting by teaching them about the property. The property is big enough for all of us as long as we communicate and the number of deer is high enough that we don't have to worry about it as long as we take care not to over extend our pressure.

Spots come and go all the time. Farmers die, people move, land owners change their minds, etc. He's been lucky to have it for 8 years by himself.
He hasn't lost his spot, he's being forced to re evaluate his inventory of hunting locations. I suspect that he'll likely benefit from the whole experience.
Again I think Fieldtrip's OP was complaining about the other guys setting up too close not necessarily about not sharing the property. It sucks that the new guys got a buck by setting up so close but that is hunting.

Thanks! See I'm not such a bad guy after all.

Never said you weren't. Although you do need to get an upland picture without the same birds in it . Lol.

BS, his first two sentences indicates that hes not too thrilled about sharing.

    Respectfully, I disagree.
First sentence tells us the history and the second says he isn't thrilled about and his acknowledgement that there isn't anything he can do about it. He then uses the rest of the post to tell everyone about the 40 yard blind setup (saying the other guys said it was 100 yards). He even questions the mentality of them doing something like this. While I understand he isn't happy about sharing, that wasn't his main point of the post.

I would question the relationship between the OP and the land owner. It's obvious the landowner did not feel obliged to give exclusive rights to the OP.
The OP obviously has more issues than just the other hunters blind location.
I don't feel the other hunters did anything unscrupulous. And, since no one knows the actual distance between the two blinds, I would hesitate to say they did anything unethical.
Also, so say they got their deer through luck is just sour grapes.
What is the size of the property? We hunt up to seven guys on a 300+ acre property. No issues.

Sorry, I meant within his first two sentences.
I can't read his mind, l can only read what he's written and that was my first impression. Like I said, he'll be better off being forced to have more spots.
