Lol. Oldies but Goldies day.
Remember the saying you can't judge a book by its cover? I'd say the same applies to the type firearm one hunts with.
Hunt with what you like, what is legal and is adequate for the game.

Read the first couple of posts and jumped ahead just to chime in:
We ran into some guys hunting with Norinco M305's and and Swiss Arms (forget which model, but the .308/7.62 NATO one)
For us, they inspired a bunch of questions rather than revulsion - how is it at the range, have you ever been successful etc.
Whats the difference with a Browning BAR?
All of our firearms were based on military patterns at some time - think Lee Enfield.
If you can do it ethically within the laws, have at 'er

Matt,
Keep in mind you too can be branded for using the word "retarded" to mean stupid or foolish.

Check the date,KC. The post was made in 2009. The poster hasn't been around since 2013,but,these old threads are fun to read.
If a tree falls on your ex in the woods and nobody hears it,you should probably still get rid of your chainsaw. Just sayin'....

They look like the new Remington Mod. R 15. They're kind of growing on me.

Hunting with an AR would be fun.......but not legal in Canada. Hunting with a SKS is legal and pretty safe for the deer (probably the only PETA approved hunting gun).
You know if a guy showed up with a black gun because that was all he had and it was legal to hunt with I think most guys would cut him some slack. But showing up with a $3,500 gun when all you need is a $600 hunting gun because your a dick........that is priceless!
Just sayin
