Most do not subsistence hunt or fish , it is a hobby , if you cannot afford your hobby, find a cheaper one. I had to give up practising cutting diamonds, too many mistakes.

That is less than for a round on a good course, about 4 hours worth.

Its not the $180 for the privilege to hunt and fish, it's the fact the government takes our money and spends it like it isn't their own. Just asking for some accountability with how the tax dollars are spent.

Have to renew mine now as well. Trying to decide if I should get the 3 years regular fishing license or the conservation.

Good luck with that..... these are the same D-bags (federally) that have yet to explain where the 2 BILLION DOLLARS went for the infamous firearms registry & (provincially) that have yet to explain a host of "spending miscues" totaling at least half that amount concerning Hydro.
So many critters & so little time to hunt......

Telling others to just give up their hobby because they cannot afford it is very rude and displays a lack of empathy.
Your comment is poorly received.(thx Gilroy)
Not every family can afford to keep paying the rising costs of food, gas, clothing, medication, housing...let alone the opportunity to hunt.
If you are going to say something, how about applying a bit of understanding?
Some families have parents who work to pay the bills and they do a fine job of it.
Feeling a bit discouraged at having extra costs thrown at them is one more hurdle they have to overcome.
Unless you are perfect, do not judge others. Compassion and understanding go a long way.

When the 3 year option was first offered the incentive was you didn't pay for the card itself. I believe it was $6.00 at the time. I still have the receipts someplace. TC

I just want to point out I'm not complaining about the $9.00 or even the total cost of the licences, it's nothing in the grand scheme of things. The main point is the Ministry keeps squeezing us for pennies while their "grand masters" of the province squander our tax dollars in the guise of being "green". It's hypocrisy at it's finest. TC

Fishermccan is a strong believer that only wealthy or well off people should be allowed to hunt.
