Has too much time on their hands
The left has a violent response to Conservative speaker at UC BERKELY of all places
Freedom of speech is not just threatened it is almost crippled it seems, left so threatened that at Berkley University they were throwing rocks, fireworks etc.

"The event has been cancelled," Yiannopoulos posted on his Facebook page. "I'll let you know more when the facts become clear. One thing we do know for sure: the Left is absolutely terrified of free speech and will do literally anything to shut it down."
Here is what Milo has to say.... oh, he is a gay, conservative speaker from UK who likes Trump ...... left intolerance ... "political violence in response to ideas"

You know I read your posts all the time and 1 year ago I would have labeled you left wing. (my bad) Until you have tried exercise free speech in Canada...then and only then do you learn that you have no free speech. Human Rights Commission can go after you with the clout of government funding. Once launched by them you are legally bound to get a lawyer and fight back. The have no judicial rights, however, they have the right to recommend charges of hate talk/speech to a crown attorney. At that point if you are charged you have a second legal case to fight. Professor Pederson is learning this from his gender pronoun dissent protests.
I have always believe the Canadian Charter of Rights & Freedoms garneted citizens the right to free speech...it says it right there in the document. However, this is not true. It words that are meaningless as with every other word in the Charter. We were sold this idea of free speech and everyone including me, believed it. Nothing could be further from the truth today. Speaking of today the current government is pushing through legislation that will further erode and classify people as easier targets of hate speech.
The fact that we have no free speech, coupled with HRC powers, further stops the average person from truly speaking freely. It ensures the government can control dissent by muffling (due to force of legal/threat/cohersion) and therefor control the message is truly frightening these days.
So with that I read your post as a true freedom of expression whilst trying to break through to the masses. Good on you. Now, sign up for the Libertarian Party and run with in the next election. We will restore true freedom of speech, land ownership, self defense, and do as much as possible to remove government influence from all Canadians lives. This way; you the people control the government influence in your life. Not the current stance, where the government controls all of your life and rights right now.
Cheers and thanks.
Mark Snow, Leader Of The, Ontario Libertarian Party

I notice this attempt to restrict free speech on this forum by members many times - I have made comments on controversial matters - like abortion, same sex marriage, traditional family values in the past only to have a number of people complain that these subjects do not have a spot on the Off Topic forum - if people don't defend their right to say what is on their minds that right will eventually be lost - I see so many things happening in Canada that shows me where this country is heading - people better wise up before it is too late - as I mentioned on a previous post - thank God that Trump was elected - you are going to see big changes coming to America - the people are taking their country back again from the far left Godless liberals that now control the democratic party - we are making America great again - meanwhile all is quiet on the southern front - Joe

Nothing is quiet there, people are speaking up, too bad they all decided to stay home on election day and vote in a crazy guy.
Sitting up here eating popcorn and waiting for the fireworks to start.

Rioting and anarchy over simply hearing a different point of view?

Your opinion, fortunately the U.S citizens have spoken and voted for Trump.Getting very tired of the extreme left media twisting the facts.People need to find a more reliable media source before they react and potentially harming someone.

The sad part is that the people who voted barely made Trump the President through the electoral college, only 57.9% of eligible voters actually took the time to get off their and vote, the majority did not vote for Trump, the majority who voted, voted for Hillary and Trump got in anyway (the way it works there).
Do you really think the Trump supporters would sit back and shut their mouths if Hillary got it? Heck no, Trump was riling up the people for a revolution, talking about free speech and how the left was shutting them down but what is he doing now that he is in power, exactly what he was claiming the left was doing during the campaign.
The US political system is screwed up, Trump will not fix it, so much for the melting pot.

Thems the breaks Fox. The people have spoken just like the people in Canada that voted for Trudeau. I believe Trump will do an amazing job but personally I think he is an idiot. Trudeau is all shiny and new and the women love him but has he produced ? Will he produce ? Absolutely not ! I would sooner have an idiot business man/lady running our country that brings back manufacturing back to this country along with jobs ,reasonable tax' and hydro etc.

It would appear the Berkley riots et al, prove the point that you attempt to downplay.
Hillary didn't come close to winning, she lost by 77 electoral votes. A significant loss and once again that electoral system prevented population centers alone, which currently are uber liberal, from over ruling the desire of the majority of the US, unlike Canada.
Right leaning US voters aren't known for mass violent protest, unlike the left. Plus right wing voters and supporters aren't owned and directed by George Soros. That is not true of the left.
