Another suggestion I've heard is go to the land registry office and find landowners who don't even live in the province or country and you're unlikely to run into any problem being on their land. A bit time consuming but gives you some assurance that you won't be annoying a landowner hunting their unposted property.

It's funny how worked up people get on this site. All I want to do is sit outside , listen to nothing but nature and if a turkey happens to come by maybe have a shot at it. Lol. Either way it's a good day!

So you post a thread asking for help, you receive advice from people who have lived in Central and Southern Ontario for their entire lives that hunting on private property is a bad idea, posted or not. You then indignantly claim that you would be within your rights to do it regardless of the advice you receive. Then you proceed to talk about how "worked up" everyone on this site is.
If you want to see worked up, go shoot a turkey on someone's un-posted private property.

Well if the only advice you were looking for is how better to squeeze around a trespassing charge then I suppose you got some help.
If you don't think that advice from those who live in the area is good, you're in for a pile of headaches. Attitudes towards hunting down here are night and day compared to what you're used to up North.
If you're looking for quality time in the field then listen to the majority of the advice here. Otherwise you'll spend your time sneaking around and being chased off private property. There is no easy way here in the Southern part of the province unfortunately. Most of us who don't own land big enough to hunt on have spent years building relationships and acquiring permission.

There was a lot of good advice given above... and a lot of negativity. I'll definitely try my luck on the non posted areas... I'll assume that not all land owners are like the ones you're describing and assume it's not like Beverly hillbillies and I'm not gettting chased off by Jed and the boys with shotguns. If I had land I wasn't using I'd be like dmichel and leave it to anyone as long as it wasn't being disrespected with trash left behind. As much as people think I should adapt to "the way it is" in southern Ontario... I like to explore my options and figure it out

You need to pay ATTENTION to the GOOD advice you got here.
As a Hunter Ed instructor in the Niagara peninsula I teach all the students that ALL land in Niagara is private land EXCEPT for the Wildlife Management Areas listed on map 1 in the Hunting Regs.
For ANY other land, its private ---> get permission!
Just because some land is uncultivated does NOT give anyone the right to trespass. If you try to hedge around this concept, you're just another bad egg that gives all hunters a bad public image,
and we don't need that!!!
