We've been having quite the Morel season so far this year, especially after those heavy rains. Been finding some Pheasantbacks as well.

Nice haul Sprite. I am just new to this morel hunting. The Wife and I have been doing a lot of walking but I don't even know if we have any in the North Bay area this far North.

Might be a bit early for you yet. Soon though. A couple warm days after a good rain usually does it for me down here.

Wow what a great haul Sprite!!! I wish I could find a spot to get a decent feed of them. Found 4 on my lawn yesterday but that is the most I have ever found. Any tips on best places to find them in Ontario?? How is the pheasantback for eating??? I have a bunch of them behind my house on old stumps, never tried it though, sounds like it might be worth trying!

Thanks Big Jack. I own some land in that area so I will check it out. What kind of terrain should I check around Nipissing?

    Thanks,

Watch the pheasant backs. I dried a bunch of them to use as Turkey mount faces.and thy were full of littel holes after a week. Littel worms had burrowed there way out of them
