Anyone have a complete list of small game and birds we can hunt
Hi all,
Very new here, and very new to hunting.
Just wondering if anyone has a complete list of small game and birds we can hunt, their time of year we can hunt them and the numbers we can harvest.
I ask because MNR is at best....unhelpfull
They sent me a list but the list says "these and others..." I get the feeling if the animal is not endangered or written in law you can't hunt it it's open. Exemple, I get the feeling that pigeons and crows are open all year and no limit.
If anyone can help with this I'd appreciate it. If it's of any help, I'm in WMU 65 and also hunt in both 64s

Crows and pigeons are open year round.... but best to check and read the regs a few times before going out for anything as their might be restriction (ammo and caliber etc...) in the area you plan to help... Reading the regs should be a big part of learning how/where to hunt...
You can get yourself (unintentionally) in a lot of trouble if you don't...

If you should also read thru( a few times ) the Fish & Wildlife Act, you will get a good under standing of the options and rules about protection of property by landowners and their agents. For example Raccoons are not allowed to be hunted out of season, but can be controlled by the landowner and his agent when the Raccoons are doing damage, have been doing damage or are likely to do damage to property.
This is important to know because as a licensed hunter you can legal be an agent for a landowner, so you should know what you can or not do legally.
Take the warning labels off. Darwin will solve the problem.
