I moved a dark puff ball last year , spread it around in a new place. It will be interesting to see if the spores started to grow. Usually first week of September, is when they show up, here. old243

IMG_0270.jpg Finally found one, odd shape, it was growing between two rocks. On the BBQ with lots of garlic butter tonight! Prefer BBQ over fan fried.

Found one last week at my usual spot. Still looked white on the outside but when I went to pick it it split and was yellow inside. Bummer. I'll go back and check after out next wet cool weather.

Found this one a few weeks ago. See the sunglasses in front, it was no good to eat but the biggest I've seen.

    Great recipe:
Slice 1/2 to 1 inch pieces
Brush with Olive Oil salt and pepper on both sides
Let rest for a few minutes
Grill till brown on both sides
Sprinkle with parmesan cheese and enjoy.

Found 1 today little bit bigger than a soccer ball. sliced a couple of thin slices pan fried in butter and a couple of slivers of garlic. Melted in my mouth.
Question can it be stored hopeing to try it on the barbecue tomorrow but what about the rest?
