    It will keep better in the fridge for a day, maybe two. Depends how mature it was when picked. If you have a dehydrator it works quite well for what you don't cook up. Can then be powdered for use in soups and stews as a flavouring.

    Thanks for the dehydrating tip. Worked well the only thing looks like a big bag of cocaine LOL. Should work well when I want that mushroom flavor in eggs, soups, and gravies.

    I saw a few smaller sized puffballs last week, are they still edible after a heavy frost?
