Why can't they leave it alone they are chasing through town
They need to leave this poor moose alone . They will end shooting and say it was unsafe running in town if they would of left it alone it would still be in the woods

Yea that's what my rant was about . I new I was going to get silly when they send everyone in to the scene. To stupid they should of left him alone . He has been area about a month now

This is a full grown bull moose. They need to get him out of the urban area and back into the forests of Ontario before something bad happens. This is an animal which is taller than a horse, heavier than a bear and can run up to 56km/h. If he decides he doesn't like you, he will stomp you. Trying to get him back into more familiar surroundings is a better option than just leaving him be.

Pics have already been posted around from the beginning of the month. . When they start chasing it now it's on a rampage guess its ok kill em.

Maybe calling animal control the cops and the ministry is not the greatest way of doing things. Maybe chasing it with a helicopter is ok . Why do they need all these people at the scene before they are ready take down the animal in a proper way .

Leave the moose alone when your ready and have every thing in place then take it down and remove him the proper way.

They are putting more people at risk by doing this . They are refueling the helicopter just cost thousands of unnecessary money

This animal has been around since the beginning of the month and obviously has no plans to move. Chasing it with a helicopter isn't practical. This bull moose won't move unless the chopper is close to him (he isn't moving with airplanes taking off and landing) and putting a chopper that close to him with buildings around is dangerous. One cross wind and the chopper goes down.

I have zero problem with putting this animal down if it has to come to that. This is a large, wild animal in an urban environment. Are you comfortable with a person getting injured or killed because you wanted the animal left alone? What if it was someone close to you? I wouldn't want that on my conscience.

The MNRF, who are the experts in Ontario for wildlife management, have determined that this moose needs to be relocated and you are saying they are wrong?

Except moose can be extremely efficient at hiding when they want to be. Having a team on standby for one single moose is an extreme waste of resources.

Yes it does. There is another less expensive option but I suspect you wouldn't be happy with that.

Its awful seeing him run and being chased (or being so spooked he won't stop running). Just a bad situation all around.
