maybe a good cold winter will kill off or at least beat back some of the non-native animals.
Take the warning labels off. Darwin will solve the problem.

Just remember the source .... and the reality that he as actually given you a compliment... if he had said you were like a Trudeau, Morneau or our Climate barbie THEN he would have been insulting you in reality. One does what he says and accomplishes things and the other 3 are guilty of ethics violations etc. simply put either knowing frauds or ideologues... your pick.

That may be a good gain on some of these plants and animals but it looks like the medium term may actually get worse.

During 2017, 120 papers linking historical and modern climate change to variations in solar activity and its modulators (clouds, cosmic rays) have been published in scientific journals.
It has been increasingly established that low solar activity (fewer sunspots) and increased cloud cover (as modulated by cosmic rays) are highly associated with a cooling climate.
In recent years, the Earth has unfortunately left a period of very high solar activity, the Modern Grand Maximum. Periods of high solar activity correspond to multi-decadal- to centennial-scale warming.
Solar scientists are now increasingly forecasting a period of very low activity that will commence in the next few years (by around 2020 to 2025). This will lead to climate cooling, even Little Ice Age conditions.
Thirteen recently-published papers forecasting global cooling are listed below.
I am sure our climate chicken littles will find a comedian to quote or Suzuki (our fruit fly expert) will make claims that the evidence won't hold to. I am sure if you asked them if they wanted to go back to the carbon and climate levels of 10,000 years ago or even 400 years ago they would happily agree... they know nothing about climatology and especially paleoclimatology.

** 1600's mini ice age in Europe the Thames river froze and "It had killed 10-30% of the population with famine. "
It is quite interesting that there are considerable solar model that predict a mini-ice age starting about 2020 or 2022.
"The model has shown to have a 97% accuracy when mapping the past movements of sunspots, using data of solar cycles from 1976 to 2008. And if this reliability continues, then the model also has some alarming predictions for the future: a mini ice age sometime around the 2030s. "
Given only a 30 year span of their models I question them too, but we shall see.... after all according to the old greenie projections we should be wearing speedos and bikinis by now today. The tiny fractions of a degree increase they are talking about can for the most part be ignored due to increased city, pavement, equipment used etc. and on the other side if anyone tells you the climate doesn't change they are true ideologues just as much as the one that say it is settled.

Although I have my thoughts on the cyclic behaviour of the earth and I know that the last ice age is not just a distant event based on the actual age of the earth you cannot take a week of cold and use it to dispel climate change. It is climate change, not temperature change, there is a huge difference here.
I am sure you are all scientists who have spent your life studying this and I am not so I will back away from the subject.

The earth has been changing for millions of year, Man (Global industrial pollution) has only impacted the earth for the last 100 years or so. Putting out so much pollution in such a short period of time does change things in the short term but thinking man can control the natural order of things (long term) is just silly.
History tells us that an ice age is due whether we have the carbon tax or not.
