Oh well , just like I figured, you did not answer the very straightforward question once again. Libs. did this libs did that. If Macleod reported something much earlier ,and they did not investigate out of fear of what they might find,, they all should be fired.

Fisher, this is a fair question. I'm disappointed that (according to media reports) there were rumours about his behaviour that pre-existed his appointment to the PC leadership, and yet it doesn't appear he was thoroughly vetted. Very disappointing that it is left to the 11th hour before an election before the truth comes out. My point with the earlier post that you quoted is that MacLeod's statements serve only to further damage the party at this point and I wonder why a veteran MP would do that.

As for the debate between Dyth and Canadaman, his (alleged) actions may not have been illegal, but there is a big difference between illegality and questionable morality. I'm with Dyth on this one.

They responded when there was evidence, to speculate about why they didn't respond to rumours is ridiculous spin ... there are lots of rumours out there about Justlied Trudeau but to the credit of those looking no one has ran with fiction.

These rumours were not from other political parties for gain, but from within, from their own people , the kind that should be investigated , fully, beyond a shadow of a doubt.

The news bit I saw, MacLeod said her concerns were made known and found to be unsubstantiated....I am of the opinion that the correct action was taken by the party, under the circumstances. The information was apparently out there, it needs to be investigated fully. If proven to be false, civil recourse should be in order. Unfortunately with all too many of these complaints as of late, it boils down to “he said, she said”. There is no way of proving or disproving the allegations. Regardless, the damage has been done, whether legitimate or not !

I'm very confident that no stone will be left unturned because the stakes are too high. If it turns out it's all bogus there'll be hell to pay.

There is a bit of irony in all this. When PET was banging Margaret she was what, 17-18 years old? He was the PM of the damned country!! Didnt cost him his career. Trudough junior spent most of his life living like a Prince. Tell me with a straight face that he didn't capitalize on that and "enjoy" himself?
Bill Clinton got BJ's from a young staffer in the Oval Office. Most women would still throw thier panties at Bill and Hillary would have them dry cleaned to protect her family name.
Wynne has admitted sexual misconduct from her MPP's but won't name those involved? There really are two playbooks isn't there. If you are a liberal it seems there is shall we say a bit more tolerance for it.

I’m suspicious of people who don't like dogs, but I trust a dog who doesn't like a person.

Twas ever thus with liberals. Look how long it finally took before a Special Prosecutor was ever appointed to look into Clinton/Paula/Monica shenanigans and after that, there was more Whitewater crap with Hillary smack dab in the middle. Then there was accusations against David Peterson that "went away",nothing to see, here, move along. That's what infuriates everyone with Liberals. They're always first to point fingers at everyone else, but, don't ever, ever point the finger back at them. Their panties get right twisted.

None of the behaviors you describe are the majority property of the liberal left, the conservative right or the mushy middle. Anyone who follows politics objectively knows this goes on more or less equally across the board.

And it was wrong of PET to pursue an 18 year old as well.
