I live in Brown's riding and there isn't much doubt here of the accusations themselves. It seems that Brown's reputation precedes him. But there's also no doubt the timing was a political hit. So who was it: the Liberal Party, a mutiny among the PCs, or outside individual(s) acting on their own?

My guess is a mutiny. The liberals would call a snap election if it was them or they would have waited until a month before the election. The timing gives the PCs enough time to possibly reorganize which the liberals would not be okay with if it was them.
The wilderness is not a stadium where I satisfy my ambition to achieve, it is the cathedral where I worship.

Yep. I'm sticking with "mutiny". I'm not liking what I'm hearing about Lisa MacLeod's initial involvement. See post #76.

Mutiny for sure. I think Wynne and the Liberals thought they had a good chance to defeat Brown.

I think the accusers saw all the rest of the MeToo movement gaining momentum across North America and decided it was time.
Liberals would have timed it better to suit their purposes and I can't imagine anybody in the PC party hated him enough to explode the party 4 months before an election ?

There is,though. There's been a quiet revolution going on within the party since he won the leadership. Many big "C" die-hards saw him as a "red" Tory, therefore, intolerable.

Apparently Doug Ford threw his hat into the ring. Could be interesting.
