Gun ownership in the USA is a right , in Canada it's a privilege. Big difference.

Having been forced to take constitutional law when I went to school down there it doesn't say individuals have the right. It states the free state has the right to provide arms to the people for a regulated militia. The constitution is just a glorified real estate and ownership document, except for the second amendment. Where the free state has the right to protect itself

Let me start by saying this - if you give up your freedom and liberal for security you will end up with neither - shooting like this are metal disorder problems - this people are nuts - plain and simple - the way to stop a bad guy with a gun is with a good guy with a gun - we need to get rid of these so called gun free zones - teachers, administrators and security guards need to arm themselves so they are react and stop such shooting from happening or at least limit their damage - we Americans will never give up our guns - law or no law - much of our constitution was written to protect citizens from the government - freedom of speech, right to bear arms, freedom of search and seizure, religious freedom .etc - that's what makes our country different from others - you got to remember the difference in the formation of our countries - our forefathers fought the oppression of the king - while yours didn't

Joe, Do you ever read what you type before sending it. This is exactly why you have the problem you have down there with this train of thought. So I guess you'd have the Good Guys all wear white and hope the Bad Guys wore Black so nobody shoots anyone who is innocent or is that just to bad if they do Joe?? And I guess if you are a TALL Kid you stand a chance of being caught in a Crossfire. Its Bad enough they have to do drills in case a live shooter comes into the schools. If I had to send my kids to a school where every teacher and anyone working there had to carry a gun so my kid would be safer I would be moving as far away from those areas as I could. Can just hear the teacher after school, I won't be able to mark those tests tonight and will be late getting home as I have to go to the gun range and practice my shooting skills, you seem to think the way to go is back to the Gunfight at the OK Corral Days,

People say you cant touch the 2nd amendment, yes you can it's called a amendment. If you couldn't then slavery and prohibition would still be the law
First of all, there's no such thing as an "assault" rifle and full auto rifles are illegal for Americans to own. Semi-autos can't be banned because they're used in different variations for hunting as it's most popular piece of gear. Blanket knee jerks are the worst for collateral, unintended, completely useless results. Secondly, you're blaming the firearm instead of the shooter. That's like blaming forks because you're fat or a a hammer because you smashed your thumb.

That's quite the lesson you took away from your classes. You failed, didn't you?

That's why there's such a vast difference in American and Canadian mind sets and attitudes when it comes to firearms and firearms ownership, simply because of the evolution of political systems starting with the origin of each country. Americans have "rights" carved in stone by the US Constitution. Canadians have "privileges" which can disappear with the stroke of The Governor-General's pen at the behest of the ruling political party's ideology and dogma.
If a tree falls on your ex in the woods and nobody hears it,you should probably still get rid of your chainsaw. Just sayin'....

The FBI has confirmed that it was warned about the teenager who allegedly carried out a mass shooting at his former school in Florida.

Nikolas Cruz, who has been charged with 17 counts of premeditated murder, reportedly left a comment on a YouTube video last year stating: "I'm going to be a professional school shooter."

A user alerted authorities to the post.

Teachers were also warned about Mr Cruz, who was not allowed on campus with a backpack, US media report.

The FBI said it had investigated the YouTube comment but had been unable to fully identify the person who posted it.

Yes, the very reason the rest of the world views Americans, as overly aggressive and mentally unstable. This is not the 1700's
