Good luck and stay away from as many bell and whistles as possible. Power windows, good sound system and A/C is all I look for and vinyl floors for cleaning.

Agreed. Too many problems with all the electronic stuff. You will notice most trucks that have issues are the ones that are loaded with all the bells and whistles.

I have a 17 Ram, no issues so far, best mileage I've ever had from a full size 4x4 truck by far. I have no complaints. I have A/C, power windows and doors, 4x4, and bluetooth. I had a hard time finding one without all the bells and whistles. Could have got a loaded truck for a bit less actually.

The tundra's do burn a TON of fuel. My buddy has one and its a pig on fuel. I get waaaaay better mileage.

Just come across a chap in my neighborhood who will be selling his 2012 Toyota Tacoma with 120,000klms. Its a V6 extended cab,auto. He has no idea what he wants for it yet and I am not to sure what to offer but to be reasonable I,am thinking just north of 20 thousand. Any body had one of these and how did you like it. I am pretty sure they are pigs on gas but so is my old GMC Safari AWD.

I know you want big truck. I had all 3 big trucks including diesels. Now I have 2008 Tacoma double cab 4x4 and plan on keeping it for another 10 years. Best truck on fuel or repairs I ever owned.
On my 3rd set tires, one complete brake job, hanger bearing, battery, one head lite, 2 rear shocks, 3 small bulbs and 160 km.

Thanks Snowwalker, my research on them rounds out to about an average of $21,000 for that type of vehicle and year , I am pretty sure this was a weekend run around truck,but I agree with your figures.

Yup. If you look at trucks at the dealer, they list them around 28. But you can talk them down, and from the dealer it comes with a warranty.

Autotrader is fully of dealer prices. As I just said to Gilroy, a 2012 goes around 28 at the dealer, but it's coming with a factory warranty.

I like buying from dealers. First you dump your trade in and save the tax on it. Then you have service and anybody who can't get s dealer to knock $1000 off asking is probably a liberal.
