Yes walsh, you did say that I would not be charged. The events would basicly go like this.
Guy waves gun..
You crush car.
Cops show up.
You get put in back of cruiser.
Cop tells you, that you are under arrest for.....pick one or a few.
Investigation is completed...hours later.
Hours or days later you are released and charges are dropped.
Don't sound like never or will not to me.
The charges are layed automatically, and will withdrawn if it was self defence.

You said that I would not be automatically charged. Being arrested and charged as soon as the cops show up sound Darn "Automatic" to me.

It depends how far along the process the matter goes. Crown Attorneys decide whether to prosecute so they are the first to decide. After that it is either a judge or a jury depending on nature of the charges and the trial selected.
If you shoot someone you are going to have to answer for your actions one way or the other.

If he wants I can pick him up and drop him off at the end of the guy's driveway with his knife.. Then he just has to walk a quarter mile up to the house... I figure he will soil himself before he gets half way there. Since he would less the 500 yards all the way to the house, and well with in range.

I'm starting to understand how some of your political beliefs have been formed.
Hmm you won't win this one. The police shoot/beat-up/assault people for being the wrong colour and get away with it.

update....
Edouard Maurice made a brief appearance in court with his wife and young daughter on April 6, but the case was adjourned after defence attourney Tonii Roulston said she is awaiting more disclosure from the crown prosecutor’s office, including police notes and expert reports.
Maurice is next scheduled to appear in court on April 20 in Okotoks.
“The toll that these allegations have taken on Eddie and Jessie [Maurice] have been overwhelming. These people are hard workers. These people are contributors to this community,” said Roulston outside the courthouse. “These allegations with this family and their extended family have taken a toll. Not only on them but on the community.”
RCMP were called to Edouard Maurice’s property near Okotoks after reports of alleged gunshots after he saw an individual prowling his vehicles on Feb. 24. Two individuals fled the scene, with one suffering an arm injury due to the gunfire.
Maurice was charged with aggravated assault, pointing a firearm and careless use of a firearm.
Roulston said Maurice intends to plead not guilty and face a judge and jury trial.
A jury of his peers.....

Yes his peers, not the peers of the person who was shot, therein lies the problem that we saw in earlier trials.

That's what C-75 seeks to change with jury selection (peremptory challenge). That way,in a case like Boushie, jurors can't be excluded based on race, only.
