    Boyd's prairie hunter Nutmeg stock
    Kerry Carver custom hand calls

The Husky is likely the smallest husky I've ever seen. I bet she doesn't weigh 40lbs and was runt of the litter. She's a farm dog that has free roam of the property and I think shes had some close calls with coyotes. She looks very similar to a coyote and I bought her an orange collar so road hunters don't shoot her, not the first I've shot coyotes with her with me.

Picture is a few years old but that's her

Didn't call one coyote in this winter with the foxpro (15+ stands), all with hand calls

Thanks for reply on the stock, I figured it must be a Boyd but wasn’t positive, nice looking setup!

Lots of farm dogs have bad experiences with yotes. One farm we hunt has a BIG black Shepard, he is really friendly to us when we show up but becomes a totally different dog when we drag a yote or two out. One on one a yote would be no match for him but his owner has had to rescue him a couple times at night from 3-4 yotes at a time. Once they had him pinned against the house, he went out on the deck after hearing the dog freaking out, they wouldn’t budge...........until he came back out and shot one of them......then they scattered!!
I love fishing but REALLY it is just a way to pass time until hunting season!!!!

Scary how that coyote went for the husky.

How do you find the quality of the Boyd's stock? It definitely adds some character to the Tikka.

I like it. It made the gun heavier compared to the tupperware it came with. Don't think the gun shoots any better or worse than before. But I went with a 1/4" shorter overall length which helps since I'm using wearing a lot of clothes coyote hunting.

Had to sand the inside of the mag well a bit for the magazine to remove a bit easier.

My gun puts on a lot of miles in the winter, carrying it threw some thick brush and it looks like the day I bought it. Had it probably 4-5 years now

Comparable quality to the factory Tikka laminate you think?
