I had a chance to handle a really nice Brno with 3 barrel sets: 2x 12 ga barrels with different chokes, and one rifle barrel over 16 ga. I forget the calibre, 8 mm Mauser or something.

Very nice gun. Seriously considered it. But I never would have used that rifle barrel.

... and before you ask I am not looking for an excuse to buy one ..... although the Savage and Baikal have appeal I admit.

I picked up an older SXS a while back at a gun show, it has a Lefaucheux action, it's 44-40 / 12 ga. combination (Damascus barrels of course). I put a set of sights on it, in order to get some accuracy with the 44-40. I've been using it so far for target shooting with the 44-40, it's barrel is about 1/2" thick. It weighs quite a bit so I haven't exactly been running around doing any birding with the shotgun. Mostly working up loads for the 44-40, finally found a load that shoots well using AA#7 and a 245 grain plain base cast bullet. I may give it a try on deer if the situation presence itself. I've yet to check the 12 ga. side for it's ability handle a slugs using black powder, hopefully it will match the 44-40 side for accuracy.

Wow. that sounds like an interesting one. There are some strange ones out there that is for sure, the Paris hunting museum had alot of displays of imagination!

Coincidentally, I was just distracted by one of the more interesting combination guns I have ever seen. It ranks right up there with the oddest you can see in any firearm or hunting museum. Center barrel is large caliber and the revolver a smaller one...

About the 7 minute mark to see it, although the others, especially the Savage revolver (figure 8 trigger) are interesting too. If someone was making modern repro's of the combination or Savage I don't know about performance but just taking it to the range would be fun!

    I haven't hunted with a combo - I'd like to get my hands on 20g x 22 though.

What I do a lot of when deer hunting and is to use .410 shells in a .444 marlin, and also .32 s&w shorts in an auxillary cartridge in a .30-30.
Great for grouse or rabbits. The .32 s&2 short is very quiet - about like a .22 short.

or there was.... I checked the link and either I missed the "Out of Stock" or it went fast. The 12g x 12g x 6.5x55 looks good, the 30-06 one would be a bear gun for sure! Not a 300 but.... it is also gone

    the hammered 40calx16guage is interesting

They seem to go fast on there, I checked the page last week in this discussion and they added a bunch and many are already gone!
