Has too much time on their hands
Now both the Permethrin and the Elimitick mention mosquitoes... but for those that have tried them how effective are they?
... and no cracks about FW-190's or German 88's .... and in that topic (WAY OFF TOPIC WARNING... start a new thread if you want to continue this one) ... Fifi will be in Hamilton this year!

I own Elimitick from Gamehide, pants ,shirt and gloves.I hunted bear at the end of May few years back, up north. All the bugs were out in full force,me sitting in the stand and sweating.
I had no issues with the stuff i used -small portion of the mosquitoes would still land on my Elimitick gloved hands while i had tons of them on my pants and biting thru the pants(i did not buy camo Elimitick pants so opted to wear regular cotton camo pants and longjons.....that combo did not work ).I wear the stuff from Mid May til mid -end of August while out in the bush, thru any of my outings, bearing mostly tick in my mind.

Sounds good, looking at them on Amazon and Ebay (are there any Canadian sellers?) there are some outside shirts in camo and some that could be used as in inside a jacket shirt too.... do you think they would be still just as effective if they were wore as a shirt inside a jacket? They would also be good for the hike in a park without the SWAT getting called on you ...
SWAT called when walking in the park ...

Casual walk, example ...

Unfortunate so many on Ebay use the Global Shipping rippoff instead of US Postal. The "import fee" is enough to make me look for other places to buy for sure.

I bought my stuff directly from Gamehide ,3 different times, different stuff in the past 10 years. They are really good to deal with..........they have some neat stuff.Never compared their prices to E bay.
By the way the green shirt you had a link too ,is the shirt i have also.Quality quality product.
The pants i have is their brownish cargo pant they have on their website.I do not wear camo for anything other then being out hunting-so did not buy camo Elimitick(kind of sucked on that bear hunt-but i handled it-and got a bear too....)
Unsure if they would be effective inside a jacket-but i would tend to speculate they would -with an exception, that the tick may cling onto your jacket(maybe?)and become a problem later on-but this is just me thinking.........They say if you run a full cycle on high heat in your dryer, tick are all killed off,so this issue with a jakcet can be dealt with too.

Sounds good, the problem is their web page says they only ship to the 50 states and US territories.
"Currently, orders can only be shipped to U.S. addresses,"
I did a google on the pants and found two stores with them (on sale too) and with the shirt. Another has a good sale on the socks but everything else was camo....

I'll do a bit more looking and maybe see if there are some comparisons or field tests, time to get some sleep! Thanks

Mos; - yes that's the stuff - I buy it on Amazon - it actually kills the ticks - also does not interfere with any scent killer if you use it when deer hunting

Amazon.ca does not sell alot of what is available on Amazon.com. I will probably just get it off ebay if I get the spray and can find one not using that ripoff Global shipping. I bought one item that had their shipping and won't buy another! I had someone change the way they sold an item on ebay one time and ship it USPS ...it got here in better shape, cheaper, faster (boy was the other way SLOW) and I did have to pay duties and tax and it was just over 1/2 the "import fee" that had been originally on the item and on many other items they don't charge tax and duty but the Global Shipping or International Shipping always does charge the "import fee" ..... rant done.

Why can't you buy the stuff in Canada - it seems there are so many things that are restricted up there - things we can get down here - doesn't seem to make sense

Health Canada decided that we're too stupid to think for ourselves.
Apparently Kinder Surprise is far more dangerous though, because that's banned in the US.
