I think you're right on that one. I never get ticks. Maybe I'm to sour and miserable or something.
My good buddy sits right next to me and sometimes has 10 or 12 on him.
He also has a blood disorder. High iron count or something.
He goes to the clinic every 2 or 3 months and they take a few pints from him and throw it in the garbage.
The ticks do like him for sure!
Nice to have friends like that for sure! I wish he'd get a newer boat though!

If you keep doing what you've always done. You'll keep getting what you've always got!
Since light travels faster than sound, some people appear bright until you hear them speak.

There could be a lot of truth in that theory, my wife and I can sit side by side, mosquito's will land on me and take off and fly to her and she gets bitten, she has had ticks on her a few times and I fortunately have yet to get one on me.
Last week I was across the road helped the neighbor load up some logs that they cut from a fallen tree after the storm, he wound up with 2 ticks on him me 0 plus I killed 4 that were crawling on the cut end of the logs.

rick_iles and yellow dog: This worked for me, too. You can get a bottle of concentrated (I think 30%) solution on amazon that you have to dilute down with water to 0.5%. It will give you a supply for years and years. I have also read that farmers use it to spray down their fencelines to prevent ticks to enter their corrals.
(The good thing is that once you sprayed your clothes and let them dry, the stuff apparently stays in the fabric for 5-6 washes. And they say it's not harmful to humans once it got dried on).

You can also buy it ready made at TSC in the horse accessories section, but the stuff has citronella fragrance in it, and I guess that is far from being ideal for hunting... (It still keeps the ticks away, though)

There are many kinds of ticks in Ontario but by far the most dangerous is found south of the border in the USA. Donald Trump the lunatick.

My cousin is part of a tick drag currently being conducted. They have found deer ticks at the old Charlotteville dump in Norfolk and he got 7 female deer ticks in one drag on one farm in the Dunnville area.
