Does anyone know or have a good Canadian supplier of upland gear?
There are lots of great options in the states, but I'd rather shop in Canada.
    Thanks!

    For humans...
I'm specifically looking for a waterproof coat that can take a beating.

Have you considered Carhart? Mine is around 20 years old, has survived thorns burrs, ice rain, bites from other hunters dogs ( yes I was wearing it when they bit). That coat is tough as nails, and so warm, I often hunt with it open.

However, they are not considered "waterproof " as the he is asking for.

I also use the double fronted pants along with my jacket, waterproofed them myself.

how did you do that Dean? I have never had an issue with being soaked through, either with my jacket or overalls.

I've been using pure clear silicone diluted with mineral spirits (50/50 roughly) I brush on a decent coat and let it air-dry Outdoors for a couple of days. Water beads off like nothing even stops the wind pretty good. It also doesn't really change the appearance of the fabric.

I started waterproofing because snow seems to stick and soak through the outer layer and make the jacket very heavy.

Browning makes really good quality upland clothing. I have the Bird N Lite vest and it's fantastic, well designed and tough. Any Browning dealer can order their stuff. I like Tillsonburg Gun Shop. TC
