It was a classic! Just has to be dredged up from the archives every now and again?

Just curious do you get it undercoated every year? I plan to continue undercoating this Truck the owner always undercoated it.

The only is with your truck is it won’t have MDS (switches to 4 cylinders when not under load) and VVT (variable valve timing)
These will make a big difference in your gas mileage.
My 2011 Hemi uses 2/3 the fuel my 2002 did with the 4.7 litre V-8 (smaller motor)
The good news is my 2011 has 330,000 kms, original tie rod ends, ball joints, the drivetrain is still good. My daughter is getting it this summer when I get my new truck.
I hope it works out for you.

Actually the truck gets about the same mileage as my old Jimmy

Yeh rust check most every other year, easy to crawl under and spray yourself. This truck has a area that rusts a lot on the left/ right front quarter panel,s.

I think you will have great fun with that truck. My son is on his second, bought a 2016 1500 new,gas model 4x4. Then got looped into a 2018 fully loaded 2500 diesel hd with the cummins engine. Both have been good so far with the exception of a sensor problem on the newer one.He is trying to convince me to buy a eco diesel but I told him I will drive mine until it reaches the scrap yard.I like the Toyota Tacoma as I have always had good luck with Toyota.
