Yet you will not comment on conservative elites who manage to avoid service but have no problem sending sons and daughters off to war.I mean I gave two good examples of the leaders of the free world.Maybe you like to believe in your mind that only Conservatives are our warriors, past or present?

A one-year conservation licence is $36.08. Multiply that by 120,000 and you have $4.3 million.

Now, I doubt the hit is that big. The number you're looking for is how many veterans *currently* hold fishing licences, since opportunity costs are not really lost revenue. But that's beside the point, which is that you need to check your math.

As for senior's discounts, the premise here is that seniors are no longer employed and are on a fixed income. Not the same thing as extending a lifetime waiver of user fees to a guy who spent a year in a militia regiment.

Your math is off as its only 30 bucks for a 1 year sports, conservation is 17.

My bad. I grabbed the number off a page for non-residents.

Using the correct fee still comes out to $2 million, not 360k.

You need to suck it up butter cup. This bone is owed to our men and woman who have stepped up to the plate and volunteered to serve their country, whatever political party was in power at the time they served. The members who have served this country since the Korean war have been treated like dirt and it is mainly people like you who have done that.

It makes me proud that all members of the CF are being honored for their dedication and have earned this respect, and this privileged.

The only reason you can sit in a computer chair and spout off is because of the sacrifice of thousands of Canadians who have served and continue to serve our country in whatever their capacity in the CAF. Very often they have no choice whether they work in Quartermasters or are deployed overseas and that role can change quickly with no regard to their personal lives.

If you are that jealous of the veterans, why dont you get out of your computer chair and go sign up. You may have to put your personal and family life on hold, but you will make a meager salary, get a uniform and possibly travel the world. If you get hurt don't worry they will take care of you. Then you can go fishing for free in Ontario on your leisure time. You will see real fast it is more than just joining something, you are committing your life to a cause.

This revenue loss was owed to these men and women. Instead of focusing on this, think of all the money our Prime Minister has cried and donated to every cause that makes him feel and look good politically. He doesn't seem to worry much about the veterans, if I recall he thinks they ask too much......................?

Good for you Skippy - then be a good veteran and go buy your fishing license. That will show us you are truly man of conviction and not someone who just likes to chirp.

    Conservative Bryan Hayes 13,615 31.12 –9.28 $114,243.06

Amazing even in YOUR HOME RIDING the Conservatives manage to spend more money getting themselves defeated.LOL, LOL.

P.S Bush when you troll your political garbage as you seem to always and take threads off topic, keep expecting these rebuttals.

I’m well aware of that.....my remark was as a result you posting about Bush and Trump, in a conversation about fishing licences for Canadian vets.....what those two have to do with Canadian vets, is beyond me...but then, I just consider the source!!

I was simply pointing out to Bushmoose that Liberals fought and died for Canada and the Conservative (Republican,s Presidents) decided deferment was a better course of action for them,as they sent off other,s son,s and daughters to die.Not the best analogy but one I think is pretty simple to follow even for you.Geeze
