Hi, I'm Dave, from Hamilton, Ontario. Is it worth fishing the North River for brook trout? (I'm 100% catch and release when fishing for that species. ) I'm sitting at the airport in Toronto, waiting for a flight to The Soo, where I'll head north to fish the rivers that dump into the world's second largest freshwater lake.

When you say "Species" I have to assume you are talking about "Specks" or "Speckled Trout". This forum does not really care if you release or keep your catch for a fantastic fish fry. Most members appreciate a fine feed of Specks from time to time. It's always worth the effort to fish the North (to answer your question). Early spring is your best bet for these tasty fish!
Good luck FilmLover!
