Sometimes,I think Doctors who prescribe that crap out-of-hand should be charged with murder.
Sorry for the rant,I didn't mean to hijack the thread, but, this really hit a sore spot.
I have been prescribed opioids, twice but in both cases , same surgeon, warned me about them and also the pharmacist had a good talk/lecture about them with me.
Most of the time , the patient themselves are to blame as they feel good taking the prescribed dosage and take more because they think they will feel that much better but it back fires on them in a deadly way.

Opiates/opiods are diabolical. They work well for a while, but, the body quickly adapts to the dosage and the pain returns requiring a heavier dose setting up the vicious cycle of heavier and heavier doses to accomplish the same amount of relief. Every one of my co-workers died in their sleep after taking their "night" pills. They didn't realize the damage to their system over time. They simply went to sleep as usual and never woke up. Government regulations are quite specific for Doctors who prescribe that stuff. In theory, they're supposed to be closely monitoring their patients, but,in the practical day to day, that rarely happens. It needs to change.
If a tree falls on your ex in the woods and nobody hears it,you should probably still get rid of your chainsaw. Just sayin'....

That CBD oil is useful for a lot of chronic illnesses.

    PS

Stats show that a large percentage of opioid addicts started with opioids after surgery.

Fascinating show this week on the CBC about addictions. Well worth your time to watch.

As some know, we take in street kids to give them a new start ; two recovering addicts right now and doing well.
    There is hope.

I would start by calling the ministry. They will most likely refer you to a form or explain to you what the steps are for your doctor to have you authorized.

phoned MNR they are sending forms out to be filled out and if all else fails they say legal to hunt from fold up chair next to atv as long as when im on atv gun is unloaded for transport which it would be any way.
