Actually many people didn't upgrade to the PAL or register their firearms. I new many people who did not register in fact i only knew of one person who did.
As well not everyone had an FAC, that was only needed if you were buying another firearm, you didn't need any license to own firearms years ago.

Don't judge someones lifestyle, you don't know how many of these old recluse type guys live in the rural areas. Some of them are functionally illiterate and don't socialize much.

My response was nothing to do with buying or registering firearms …… I don't care if you have one or one hundred ….. just common sense about storing!

With unsafe storage like this and if your comment is the true reasoning behind the unsafe storage, in this day and age with individuals like the two from BC running thru rural Canada, good thing the RCMP found these before the criminal element did.

What? When someones 'lifestyle' affects the safety of others , then it sure is time to judge, and step in. Hell people want to judge others lifestyle all the time, gay for example, but we should not judge someone breaking firearms law?
