only thing im a little skeptical about is the extra shipping cost.

Rather expensive!!! you can make your own, using any once fired shotshell, remove the primer and fill with "goop ", refold the crimp by hand if you do not have a reloader, you can make as many as you want.

Just pickup the red metal ones at the local gun shop.

I drop two in my shotgun and release the firing pin spring. No way they could ever be mistaken for live shells at a roadside stop.
Take the warning labels off. Darwin will solve the problem.

Am confused from your thread title ... are you looking for snap caps for storage or poppers for training? If it is poppers for training, the Kent field loads are available here in Ontario at Dakota Creek.

Yes, there's nothing like watching some dodo stuffing what look like live shotgun shells into a gun at the camp or gun club parking lot and pulling the trigger. Buy snap caps.

You are supposed to be practising at home, not at camp!

As mentioned in this thread people also use snap caps to release the firing pins on shotguns which happens at camp and in gun club parking lots. Even if you only use them at home practice rounds that look and feel exactly like live rounds is an accident looking for a place to happen. Buy snap caps.

Often not possible, there are a lot of cartridges that they do not make snap caps for.

You can make dummy rounds, colour them, colour the head.

If I see someone cycling their gun in the gun club parking lot I would be having a talk with them regardless of what they were putting into or taking out of the gun. The only time to take the gun out of the case and do any sort of work with it is on the range.
