Funny how people are all, 'let the people decide', unless it does not go their way. Then everyone else is stupid.

Generally speaking all of us are stupid - left, centre, right - doesn't matter. All sides are corrupt. Pendulum just swings back and forth from one stupid side to the other. I always add a box to my ballot and vote for Jean Luc Picard.

Mostly a leftist view other than the stupid part.... but hey people voted for the admitted illegal drug using, reporter groping, elitist from Quebec who took money from charities until he was caught ... and his views on dictatorships/tyrants and even the rest of Canada are well documented... but ignored by some....

I would agree you are the 7th word..... the people that make a decision like that deserve what they get. Sadly too many people are willing to be told what to think instead of actually taking the challenge on themselves.
Usual CBC vote compass, love all the topics including of course green house gases, banning handguns, mandatory minimum wage, unions and immigration ....
https://votecompass.cbc.ca
Proposition 1 of 30
Handguns should be banned in Canada.
..
Proposition 5 of 30
Canada's human rights laws should require that trans persons be referred to by their preferred gender pronoun.
Proposition 6 of 30
The federal cabinet should be evenly split between women and men.
*** Posturing and quotas over qualifications .... I guess those that the real decisions aren't made by cabinet members and some are fillers
Proposition 7 of 30
How much influence should unions have?
Proposition 8 of 30
Quebec should be formally recognized as a nation in the Constitution.
Proposition 11 of 30
Single-use plastic should be banned immediately (e.g., straws, grocery bags, etc.).
Proposition 12 of 30
Canada should end its ties to the monarchy.
Proposition 13 of 30
The federal government should impose a carbon tax on provinces without a tax of their own.
Proposition 20 of 30
The federal budget deficit should be reduced, even if it leads to fewer public services.
*** #DefundCBC :-)
Proposition 25 of 30
Migrants entering Canada from the United States through irregular border crossings should not be allowed to claim asylum.
** irregular .... the new Liberal word for ILLEGAL
Proposition 29 of 30
The government should guarantee a minimum income for all Canadians, regardless of whether or not they have a job.
These were easy...
How trustworthy do you find Elizabeth May?
These were easy too...
Regardless of the party you intend to vote for in this election, in general how likely are you to support the Liberal Party?
Support #TeamFailure ... good thing they have a 0!
Results...
How much you agree with the parties
Conservative Party of Canada (CPC) 74%
Liberal Party of Canada (LPC) 42%
Bloc Québécois (BQ) 31%
I agree with the Bloc more than the Green and NDP.... funny though, I can't think of a Liberal policy that makes sense in regards to integrity, science or ethics.... but hey $100,000,000+ per month probably has some influence on formulas... it is interesting to look where the parties come out on the issues at the end... Libs for example - higher immigration, 50% cabinet, immediately ban straws, deficits don't matter....
The only Law and Order topic was banning handguns.... wonder why terrorism, illegal border crossing, interfering with legal cases etc. aren't there .... I wonder if Goodale knows the LPC position posted there.... Somewhat .... he seems very in favour of bans.

It is stupid to believe any one of the major parties is less corrupt than the other. Your ideology may not be stupid but it is stupid to believe that any of the parties in Canada are not corrupt. Power corrupts no matter the ideology - the corruption just suits your agenda if you chose to vote for it. I refuse to vote for any party i believe to be corrupt. Spoiling one's ballot is democracy in action - not voting is stupid. Spoiled ballots are tracked and if enough people did it or in a perfect world if everyone did it the donkeys in Ottawa would have to take notice.

S8472 I could not agree more, with the first 3 lines of your reply. Mosq. sadly, then I guess that is why you are always trying to tell others what to think, because they won't or are not willing think the way you want them to. That CBC vote compass seems to have the things important to most Canadians, of all parties. Smear.... ,his views on abortion and same sex marriage are (feared), ignored by some , so IT does work both ways, you only ignore what you want to ignore.

Empirically false... but don't let reality and things like truth get in the way of your fun and immaturity. They are human organizations and definitely not perfect but I guess if you are looking for perfect then you won't marry, have friends, get a job... alone by your "perfect" self and your old star trak videos. Spoiling a ballot matters zero to politicians and a tiny tiny bit to reporters who mention it once and get on with the important issues and real problems. Not bothering to take the time and look and just acting immature ... well even FMC is better than that ... he doesn't care about ethics, taxes, deficits etc. but has atleast had the integrity to make a decision.

Probably to most Canadians and especially politicians ...they amount to the same thing. They don't differentiate so I generally look at as that they messed up in marking the ballot correctly but spoiling it deliberately is same result as far as most know or care.
OH and as for the poll..... where are important issues to most people... like crime and terrorism, personal taxes (only talks about carbon taxes and one left handed mention of the deficit), jobs and pipelines (like building Canada instead of buying from Saudi Arabia...)... or important ones like SNC, interfering with police and integrity investigations....

I do care about ethics, taxes, deficits, etc. That is why I voted for ford, and now wish I had not. Ford has failed miserably on all those counts. I fear Smear is of the same ilk. Ford being elected could possibly be the worst thing to happen to the federal cons.because of his first year in office the cons will probably lose Ontario. It shows their true colours..... do as I say not as I do. Those questions in the poll are the ones important to average Canadians , just not to you.

It’s good to talk about all the stories but it’s hard to get the truth.
The PM has had four years to do something. He has screwed everything up. Therefore his is out.
Simple. Done and done.
and Ford is waiting for the fed election to be over before he makes more changes.

Because ford is making changes that the voters do not agree with, and they will fear the same thing from the fed cons. thus not vote federally for them. Please tell me why you must hide what you are going to do? In the fed con advertising they do not say what they are going to do, no platform, just attack , attack, attack. I want to know policy up front. I know you dislike the Toronto Star, but their editorial cartoon today nailed exactly what I am talking about.
