Fall season; Oct 15th
With the fall season fast approaching how many others are planning to spend a few mornings out hunting a Fall Turkey.
Trail cam caught a nice group of Turkeys passing thru the bush again and it appears to be at least 4 Toms/Jakes in the mix. There is a fairly good sized flock in the field next to this bush so with a little effort I'm sure I can get something to come visit my blind.

Nice. If I can make it down to the Deer woods that same week, I might buy a tag. Field in beans, so should be good. Good Luck

You did notice that this is the Wild Turkey forum and the MNR says we have to wait till the 15th..
No Bow hunting (deer) till Dec...need a tag to gain admission to the Hunt Camp (2nd week)

Bow season for turkey opened on Oct 1, did it not? (rhetorical question). See page 82 of the hunting regulations summary.

Your right...that was a change I forgot about and it's listed separately in the regs and I didn't see it. It's been years since I hunted Turkeys with a Bow, might just do that !!
Thanks Rob !!

You'd better hope a monster buck doesn't come by while you are out hunting for turkeys.

It's more likely than you may think....a few yrs back during ML season, not more than 20 yds from that spot (in the pic), I shot a gorgeous Buck while he was standing in a flock of Turkey. They seem to get along quit well.
It was a full on "Smoke and Feathers"..about 20 turkeys taking off in all directions and a deer laying on the ground when it cleared. Great Hunt !!
