I will use your bank employee as an example. He -she works 25 years for the bank , they get involved in a road rage incident on the way home. Someone is killed, bank employee gets 8 years for manslaughter, does 5. In what reality do you figure the employee does-should not get their earned pension accrued over the 25 years ,before the 'incident' ?

Not a "Crime" related to their employment. Your argument is invalid.

The numbers I don't know as that is personal info.
But it will be sizable.
You still haven't answered my question.

Too vague. Failure to yield? Manslaughter? DUI? MURDER?

Which question?
I think he was also retired from the Regular Forces and was working a full or Sim-full time job in the reserves. That may account for somethings.

In any of your scenarios, he would-should get his pension. A pension is money owed to you, already earned.

Stop right there!
He was the Base Commander of CFB Trenton.
Not a Reserve position.

You have been saying you have personal experience with his case. Maybe you can explain why he kept his money.
