Grunt tube 10 pt
Decided to try the grunt tube tonight as it was dead calm and overcast, within minutes this big boy came right to me within 30yds staring me down. Had to wait about 15mins for the stare down to end. He finally walked off giving me a chance to lift my gun and get a shot. Another bang flop with 270 win.

Right on congrats! I think they are rutting pretty good here. One guy in our group shot a giant 10 tonight as well.

To be honest this was the first time I have tried it. Don't have a clue about them. I just blew into for about 3 or 4 secs twice, with a couple secs break between and waited about 15 mins. Minutes after the second set of identical grunts and boom he had eyes on me. It just sounded like a throaty mooing sound lol.

Congratulations! That's a fine buck for sure.
The thought of "dead calm" gave me pause, it was gale force winds here last night.

How is it one careless cigarette can cause a forest fire, but it takes a whole box of matches to light a campfire?
